OUR
PURPOSE

AdobeStock_331545419.jpeg

Tiera Moultrie, a proud Detroit native and mother of two children with autism, recognized the pressing need for resources during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. The scarcity of support became not only a personal struggle for her but also a shared experience within the community. In response to the lack of inclusivity, Tiera took initiative and founded "Autism in the D," a dedicated space and support group that aims to address these critical needs.

Amidst the journey of creating a secure and supportive environment, Tiera realized the absence of a physical space specifically designed for individuals with autism and their families. Determined to fill this void, she is now pioneering the establishment of Detroit's first autism-inclusive play gym. This initiative is driven by the vision of providing a unique and welcoming space within the city, where families touched by autism can find a sense of belonging and support.

THIS LEADS US TO OUR NEXT BIG PROJECT, BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP MORE THAN EVER!

WE WILL BE OPENING THE FIRST AUTISM INCLUSIVE PLAY GYM IN THE CITY OF DETROIT--NOT THE METROPOLITAN--THE CITY OF DETROIT!

WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING FUNDING FROM A FEW SOURCES TO COVER THE ENTIRE $100,000 FEE'S TO GET STARTED, BUT WE ALSO NEED THE COMMUNITIES HELP!
