The mission

Autism in Detroit is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to creating inclusive spaces, empowering families, and building community connections for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across Detroit.  What began as one mother’s mission to bridge the gap in access and awareness has evolved into a movement—serving hundreds of families through sensory play, education, and advocacy.

The Vision

We’re opening Detroit’s first adaptive and inclusive sensory play gym, a safe haven for children and families of all abilities to connect, learn, and grow—together.

The Inclusive Gym Project

Coming Summer 2026: Detroit’s first sensory-based play gym designed with adaptive equipment, calming zones, and inclusive programming for children and families of all needs.
